Reset All Settings - Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+

Restoring your device to default settings helps when the device crashes and resets itself or when apps freeze/hang or reset the device.

Caution Performing these steps resets all system settings (e.g., ringtones, sound settings, display settings, etc.) back to their default values. Personal data such as downloaded apps and media (pictures, videos, music) aren't affected.

1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
2. Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
3. From a Home screen, navigate: Settings Settings icon > Backup and reset Backup and reset icon.
4. Tap Reset settings.
5. Tap Reset settings, to confirm.
6. If applicable, enter the PIN, password or pattern.
7. Tap Reset settings.
